Starting from this Jap blog, tooltips are added on the "might be difficult" words for the sake of ergonomics, need not to scroll to and fro from the glossary :)! However, glossary still, will be added at the end of this blog due to simple tooltips html code is used, you will experience a delay in tooltips pop up upon mouse over :p! Trying to use Java, but it will take hell lots of time to start from scratch :(!

Implementation of Javascript popups might be too time-consuming to be efficient, I myself used some one else's code, and not scripting it myself, if you had thought that was how it was done.
BTW I must say that I am impressed with your use of alt. text (aka. html span title) for this purpose!
I am always of the opinion that the simplest, built-in solution, which is the least time-consuming is the most elegant solution. In which case, the value lies in even being able to conceive and realize the existence of this method in the first place, rather than masochistic hours of implementation of technically involved effort.
